It's Release Day!!! And you know what that means: all of the fabulous new products you've been seeing on the Design Team's blogs are available for purchase today - and at 20% off (more on that below). If you've landed here from Kim's blog, you're on the right track. If not, check out Emma's blog so you can start this Hop from the very beginning.
Today I've totally re-imagined one of the new dies into something completely different. Can you see what I did?
Try to SPOT it. (<--- that was a hint)
Did you guess the puppy? You're right! I took the chick die from Hello Chickie, flipped it upside-down and made a sweet little puppy in a basket. The puppy's face is a combination of Peachy Keen face stamps. The eyes are from the Princess Face Assortment and the nose/mouth is from Critter Faces Set A Medium.
I hand-cut the ears and drew on the spots. The little basket (also from Hello Chickie) hides the fact that the puppy doesn't actually have a dog's body. I stamped the sentiment from Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments (available today) onto one of the Stitched Square Speech Bubbles.
This card is for my cousin who just had a little boy. Her baby shower isn't until next weekend - little Chance decided to come almost 2 months early!!! Mommy and baby are doing very well. I'm usually a gift-giver, but since I won't be able to make it to the shower, I'm sending a gift card. I used the Stitched Gift Card Pocket on the inside of the card to hold it.

MCT 30th Edition Sneak Peek: Magic Hat Birthday
Hey there! It's Release Week at My Creative Time and today we are Sneak Peeking the new I'm A Lucky Girl Stamp Set.
I love re-imagining MCT stamps and dies, so today I've turned the leprechaun hat upside down to create a magician's hat.
I cut a slit into the hat and placed my bunny inside. I drew on the face and added a little piece for a waving paw. A few different stamp sets (listed below) were used to get my sentiment just right. To create your own sentiment, you can ink only the words you need on a stamp.
Tip: To be sure not to accidentally ink more than the words you need on a stamp whose words are close together, simply cover the extra words with a post-it note (the sticky back helps to keep it on the stamp), ink up your stamp, remove the post-it, and then stamp onto your paper.
MCT Products Used
I'm A Lucky Girl (hat die) *available for purchase on Friday, 2/28*
Bracket Sentiments ("Full Of") *available for purchase on Friday, 2/28*
To My Best Peep (bunny die, "Hope Your Day Is")
Stitched Party Dies (balloons)
Stitched XL Label Die (white layer)
XL Label Die (red layer)
It's A Magical Season ("Magic")
Thanks so much for stopping by today to sneak peek the new release. You can see more of this release at the My Creative Time blog.

MCT Inspiration Wednesday: Save the Date
Did you have tea parties when you were a little girl? I don't really remember having a lot of tea parties, but I DO remember getting all dolled up in my party dress and shoes for my little friends' birthday parties. And how could I forget my fancy, frilly socks?!?! I just loved getting dress up as a little girl. And you know what? I still do! But as an adult, there aren't as many events to get fancy for.
And then it occurred to me... why not make my own event to get dressed up for?
And so I decided that it was time to get the girls together... for a tea party! My niece, Evelyn (7) and I will be co-hostessing a Mother's Day tea party this year - complete with pretty dresses and hats! Since we are the only girls in our family who don't have kids, we'll throw a special luncheon for my Grandma, Mom, sister and two sisters-in-law. Evelyn's baby sister, Elsie (less than 8 weeks old now) will also be there - but NO boys allowed. I'm even kicking The Hubs out of the house for a couple hours. We'll be having the party the day before Mother's Day so that we don't interfere with any plans each Mom might have with their own family.
While searching for tea party ideas on Pinterest, I found this photo and knew it was the perfect color combo for our special get-together.

Since the day of our tea party is quite a ways away, I didn't want to send out invitations yet. I've found that it's easy to forget about events if the invitations are sent out too early. But I want to be sure that all the ladies are available that day, so I made up Save the Dates.
This card is 5.5" square and features several layers for a luxurious feel. I designed and printed the "Save the Date 5.10.14" and "invitation to follow" on my computer. The lower pink portion is dry embossed with a Darice embossing folder.
I'm not usually a rounded corner kinda gal, but I thought it added a bit of sophistication to the card and gave it more of a custom look.
MCT Products Used
Flower Petal Dies (blue patterned flower)
4 x 4 Journal Die + More (white stitched square layer)
More Gift Card Sentiments ("Mother's Day")
Tea Party ("Tea Party" and teapot)
I'm excited to still create the invitations and other party essentials (menu, decorations, etc.). My hope is that it will be warm enough here in Michigan to hold our event outside on the patio.

MCT Whatever Wednesday: Mustachio Valentine
Welcome to another Whatever Wednesday with the My Creative Time Design Team. Today is all about making whatever you want! Woo hoo!
This is the Valentine's Week card I'm giving to The Hubs today. It measures 5.5" square.
I use these aqua colors all the time, but I'm not sure that I've ever paired them with coral. I'm loving the bright, fresh feel the color combo gives this card!
Many MCT products were used on this project:
What's Growing On (mustache die + "I mustache you a question..." sentiment)
Stitched Sweethearts & XOXO Dies (heart die)
100% Sweetness ("Will you be my Valentine?" sentiment)
Stitched 4 x 6 Journal Die (stitched white rounded rectangle layer)
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to see what the other designers have for you on the MCT Blog.
I hope you were inspired!
