MCT 41st Release Blog Hop: Cards for Mom

It's Release Day for My Creative Time! If you've hopped here from Ruthie's blog, you're on the right track. If not, head on over to Emma's blog so you don't miss out on a THING!

I know it's a bit early for Mother's Day, but I like to have my cards done early so I'm not scrambling at the last minute. Mom, I know you're reading this. Yes, one of these cards is for you. But WHICH ONE? (sneaky, sneaky)

My first card features the new set (available right this very minute!), Love You Bunches.

This stamp set comes with individual flower stems (and coordinating dies) and lots of great sentiments. To achieve my "bouquet" of roses, I stamped the front flowers first, masked them and stamped the rear flowers after. If that's clear as mud, check out this simple tutorial I made a couple of years ago for a step-by-step instruction.

Love You Bunches
MCT Products Used
Family Is Everything ("love")
Stitched 3x4 Journal Die
New! Love You Bunches (rose, sentiment) Available NOW!
New! Fun Stitched Tag Dies (sentiment layer) Available NOW!

My next Mother's Day card also uses flowers, but with a totally different look.

This card showcases the new Jr. Rolled Flower Dies. I used a lot of different patterns in coordinating colors to give this card some pizzazz. I love mixing patterns! I've found that mixing smaller patterns works best for me. If you have a large patterned paper that you want to slip into the mix, allow it to be the center of attention (like I did with the "MOM" background) and keep the rest of the patterns pretty small.

Jr. Rolled Flower Dies
MCT Products Used
Uppercase Fun Dies ("MOM")
Heart 2 Heart Love Frame Die (heart)
Stitched Party Dies (banner)
Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies ("you")
Alpha Pack ("are the best!")
New! Jr. Rolled Flower Dies (flowers) Available NOW!
