- Toss it in the trash.
- Give up and decide that it's 'good enough'.
- Continue playing with it until our fingers bleed and tears stream down our sad, disappointed faces.
I don't recommend allowing yourself to get to number 3.
Original Card |
Last year, I made a paper airplane card for my dad's birthday. I wasn't super pleased with it, but had resigned myself to accepting what it was and moving on with my life.
Now, I'd be lying if I told you that the weight of disappointment in the design of this card has haunted me for the past 13 months. It hasn't. But when we were challenged to re-do an old project, this card was one of the first options to come to mind.
It's not awful, but it could definitely use some improvements!
Today, I'm here to redeem myself with this Do Over:
A few changes in color tones, paper pattern and removing the balloon give this card new life!
MCT Products Used
Fun Paper Airplane Die
Stitched Rectangle Frame Die
Thanks for the Lift ("hello")
I'm much happier with the way my Do Over turned out. The balloon and the coloring of the plane in the first version just never came together the way I had envisioned. The Do Over has a fresher look.
Thanks for stopping by to see my Do Over today. You can see more from the other designers on Emma's blog.
I hope you were inspired!
