MCT Designer Challenge: 1,2,3!

by Veronica

Are you up for a challenge?

Fellow MCT Designer, Liz, has a great one in store for us this week - and it's as 'easy' as 1,2,3!

For this Challenge, you must create any project that includes:

ONE bow
TWO patterned papers
THREE buttons

My Challenge Project is a birthday card for my good friend, Brandie. The concept of the card was inspired by this adorable card I found on Pinterest while wasting time perusing.

You might notice a few extra 'requirements' on my card. I used TWO bows (for the banner) and FOUR patterned papers. This either makes me a cheater, or an over-achiever. I'll let you decide. *giggle*

Supply List

Card Stock: Stampin' Up!, Papertrey Ink
Patterned Papers: Stampin' Up!, Echo Park, Carta Bella
Chipboard Buttons: Close to My Heart
Stamps: Fun Pockets (MCT)
Dies/Punches: Star Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch (Stampin' Up), Vintage Stitched Label Dies (MCT)
Misc: Black Felt Marker, Kraft Hemp Twine (Liz's Paper Loft Boutique), Star Dust Stickles, Paper Piercer, Black Memento Ink, Copics, Pop Dots

Special Notes
To get the tiny triangles for my banner, I punched my card stock with the Star Punch and cut off the 'legs'. The cake, candles and cake base were all hand-cut. I colored my candle flames directly onto the white card stock layer and Stickled them.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to check out Emma's blog to see what the other designers came up with and join in on the fun!

I hope you were inspired!
